How do we work at Infinit Kimono?

How do we work at Infinit Kimono?

A state of flow

We truly enjoy what we do and thus when we come together a unique state of flow is felt in the air. Starting with some silent meditation we let the work unfold moment by moment. Photoshooting, heart-storming ideas, preparing packages, and chatting with people at postal points- all these activities bring us a lot of joy. In this unhurried way of work, we serve one customer at a time focusing on creating an environment in which we can flow while providing you with beautiful garments.

We take time

The way we work might take you by surprise. We take time, we pause for lunch breaks and we do go on holidays during which our online store is closed and we kindly ask you to wait until we are back. By making these small changes, we believe we can set an example of being in the world of business yet not of this world. This unhurried, deliberate lifestyle is important for us.

Sophisticated simplicity

We keep things simple as we like when everything runs smoothly. For you and for us. Simple product, simple values, simple rules. And, in this simplicity, there is sophistication, as it gives time to contemplate and pay attention. In the land of the rising sun wherever you look, from Japanese cuisine to zen philosophy, simplicity prevails. Kimono literally means ‘a thing to wear’ and is also apparently simple, yet at the same time it is sophisticated when you come in contact with it and experience it.

Kimono selection

The work begins ‘at the source’. Daphne goes to the market to find the best fabrics. When she selects kimonos rather than thinking what is best, she feels it. Her intuition plays a great role in the process. According to Shintoism, the Japanese belief system, all living entities-forests, trees, and objects have a kami- the spirit within them. Thus, Daphne connects with the spirit of kimonos when she selects them.
